The Abbots Bromley Horn Dance
1st Monday after 4 September - One of the oldest folk festivals in Britain. The dance involves six horn dancers equipped with reindeer horns painted white and brown, a Maid Marion, a boy armed with a bow and a hobby horse. The dancers make a 20-mile tour of the parish. The actual dance follows a snake like pattern, as the dancers intertwine with each other.
Cannock Chase Creatures
Over the past several years there have been numerous reports of strange encounters on and around Cannock Chase ranging from UFO’s, a Big Foot or Sasquatch, a Big Cat and a Giant Serpent, not to mention its haunting by a Phantom Black Dog.

Molly Leigh
In St John’s graveyard, Burslem, can be found the last resting place of Molly Leigh, a local woman accused of being a witch but dying before she could be brought to trial. Her body is the only one positioned North to South, putting it at a right angle to every other grave in the cemetery. Ranton UFO (1954)
On 21st October 1954 in Ranton, Staffordshire, Jessie Rosenberg, then aged 29, and her two children, witnessed a lens shaped object flying overhead. They also saw two humanoid figures with blond hair staring down at them. They were so scared by the encounter that they hid under a table in their house.
It is reported that they had several psychic experiences afterwards.
