 Hello,
I have just joined your site and after spending a day reading loads here and there I feel I have not even scratched the surface.
I lived in England for 14 years and 7 years ago I returned to Denmark. I have been to England several times a year since, to visit friends and favourite places. In September, a friend and I plan to go on a week-long mad dash roadtrip from Stansted Airport to Penzance and back.
We intend to visit as many "mysterious places" as possible and apart from Glastonbury, Stonehenge and Avebury, The Cerne Abbas Giant and other hillfigures we also wondered if anyone here had some great ideas of places we simply must visit?
Thank you very much in advance,
Laila

Re: Hello from Denmark

Hi Lilapet, welcome to the site.  Visit the Vale of teh White Horse which include Weylands Smithy, Dragon Hill and of course the Uffington White Horse.

http://www.mysteriousbritain.co.uk/england/oxfordshire/featured-sites/uffington-white-horse-and-dragon-hill.html

Plenty to see in Cornwall, Tintagel, St Michaels Mount etc

If you manage to visit sites I have not covered yet I would to hear about them and see any pictures you may have.

We also have a Facebook Group which is a bit more active than the forum, so you can always ask the guys who post in there.

Re: Hello from Denmark

 Thank you so much Ian,
I will see how it fits in with our route... I have been to many  of the "usual" sites over the years, but it will be interesting to go to other places, less known places perhaps... I will head over to facebook and see if I can find the group you mentioned and ask there.
This is such a friendly plae though, so I will also come back here to read more :-)
All the best,
Laila
