Peace and light.....
Quite by accident we drifetd (two years ago) into Glastonbury town, and we seem to have been a bit drawn to the way of things there, we went twice last year, this year (having a campervan) we are doing a bit of a tour for just 5 days, Hereford being one stop.
Last year we also did Bude (and Boscastle of course)
Is anywhere else qiute like Glastonbury or Boscastle, with no fear of "the old ways" (which we now find quite peaceful, and the wifes got a black cat anyway.....)
Cheers
Blessed be

Hi Wiccaman, it sounds like we have similar tastes. I spend anywhere between 2 and 3 weeks each year camping in Glastonbury. Boscastle is great and the Witches Museum is well worth a visit. Tintagel is also worth visiting. You might want to check out Avebury as well.
fancied a grand tour, avebury, stonehenge, glastonbury, wookey hole, and back, im not quite a "new age hippy" (yet) but it wouldnt take much, this normal life is crap, i find christianity full of bile and suffering and hatred for others (generally) with no common ground, plus they pinched the pagan sites and dates and festivals ------ buggers
bring on Beltane!
BTW, one campsite (Old Oaks) only wants posh campers, ours doesnt meet his requirements, we stayed at the Isle of Avalon, £15/night
I almost always camp at the Isle of Avalon, a great campsite. I should be back there this April for a short while. You'll probably discover a lot of bitching and in the New Age scene as well, I have encountered it a few times. I think I have found a happy medium between the two, appreciating the best they each have to offer without becoming too brainwashed by any of it.
I often use Glastonbury as a base to travel out to sites such as Avebury, West Kennet Long Barrow etc. Hopefully this site will give you some ideas of places to visit.
1st 2012 trip looks like Evesham and Hereford end of March, Somerset should be July assuming the old wobblyvanniebago passes its MOT (Moments Of Terror)
