Welcome
Hi guys. I have been away researching in Wales for the last week but I would like to welcome all our newest members to the website and thank you all for posting on the forum. It may take me a while to get up to date with the posts and that will have to wait until I am more sober :).

Whatcha been researching (other than Welsh hostelries)?
Research: This is Ian's Euphemism for spending the week in as many Welsh pubs as possible - preferably haunted of course. :-) I could make a joke about spirits, however.....Did you get any good photos Ian?
Dan, you know me so well :) Yes I got loads of photographs..........of haunted pubs :). I have been collecting stories and histories from around Snowdonia but I was ventured out into Powys, Shropshire and got to visit some of my favourite locations like Devils Bridge. I'll be sticking a few bits and pieces up each week.
I love this site. However it has made me realise how little I know. Not being from Britain doesn't help though.
Wow,how do I get a job like yours? Sounds great.
Speaking of haunted pubs, I heard a while back that The Bear Inn at Bisley, Gloucester had a couple of stories attached to it. I don't know any details and there's nothing on their website sadly, so it could just be hear-say. Still, here's the link if you're interested, http://www.bisleybear.co.uk/content/view/22/44/
Hi Someonestoleshell, I wish this was my day job :) Maybe one day I will be able to do this full time. Maybe make the site into a book.
Thanks for the heads up about the Bisley Bear, I'll see what I can find out. This website is an ever growing database, I doubt we'll ever get every ghost, UFO, legend etc on the site, but we'll keep trying.
You should make a CDrom like the Megalithic Portal site has. Searchable database, pic and maps where appropriate. They charge less for people upgrading to the latest version.
Hi Seannachaidh, welcome to Mysterious Britain & Ireland and thank you for posting. A CDrom is a good idea and one I think look into more closely. It would make a great addition to a book as well.
