Re: EMF

Do you mean an EMF meter? What are you planning to do with it?

Re: EMF

It does all really depend on what your using it for.  If you want to do a basic EMF survey of a location fine, but regardless to what is shown on TV they aren't really much use in investigations and do not tell you if something strange is happening.

Re: EMF

Well nobody knows what ghosts are, so there not any devices available that can detect, track or measure ghosts.

Re: EMF

so whats all the equipment that these ghost hunters use then?
and as the old saying goes if u dont ask u wont find out!
I have first hand experience of seeing a spirit many years ago, though I have not seen any in my old house, before I sell it I just thought that the EMF meter would of given me some idea? but as u say thats no good!
thanks for your help anyhow.

Re: EMF

There are theories that EMF's may be related to haunting type phenomena as some weak complex fields may have an effect on the brain inducing an experience.  This would only effect a certain percentage of the population and the hand held meters cannot really measure these fields as they are not good enough.  If you do get the right kit to measure these, the analysis of the data would take weeks probably and that is if you know what you are looking at.

Most ghosthunters have picked up on the idea that EMFs may be related and you see many of these hand held devices, especially on TV.   It looks good to a machine that flashes or beeps and helps viewing figures.

Re: EMF

There's an article about whether EMF meters can be used as ghost detectors at http://www.assap.org/newsite/articles/Ghosts%20EMF%20meters%20and%20base...

Two Haunted Counties - A Ghost Hunter's Companion to Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire by Tony Broughall & Paul Adams

Two Haunted Counties

As it says on the back cover of the book, a twelfth century Gilbertine priory, a Chrysler car factory, a de-sanctified church and a Georgian period lavatory are just a few of the haunted localities from the case files of 1970s ghost buster Tony Broughall. Read More »
