Has anyone any information on the Toxteth Dingle (valley & brook), [where] "Once a Naiad rolled her flood..." ?
The brook no longer exists but the lady naiad was celebrated with a statue - which has also disappeared it seems.
Are there any book references for the story of this lady of the stream please?
Ps. This thread was kindly started at the 'North Doors' (churches) thread and has been posted here under its own title for a wider viewing. Thanks.
