Aguas Buenas Creature
On 9 March 1996 Ovidio Mendez reported seeing a strange creature whilst he was burying a mutilated chicken. It was described as walking on two feet and being gray coloured. It had clawed hands, fangs and red slanted eyes.
The map shows Aguas Buenas and not the exact location of the sighting.

Black Sea Mermen
In 1996 a man named Borovikov was diving in the Anapa region of the Black Sea hunting sharks. Whilst he was eight meters deep he had a strange encounter with a mermaid type creature. In his article UFOs in the Soviet Waters, Paul Stonehill described the encounter. ‘He saw giant beings rising up from below. Butt of Lewis
A sea monster was reputedly sighted in 1882. Another sea monster was reported in 1895, a few days after a similar creature was seen off Bernera. This creature was supposedly 120' long.

Cefn Cave Crocodile

The Dale Cockatrice
A Cockatrice was supposedly killed here when the peat in which it was hiding were set on fire. It had, according to local tradition been found whilst still in its egg. Faroe Islands Mermaid
In 1723 a Royal Commission from Denmark visited the Faroe Islands in the Norwegian Sea to investigate claims of a mermaid being in the area. They saw a merman approach their ship, submerge then surface to stare at them intently with deep set eyes. Unsettling those aboard, the vessel was commanded to withdraw and as it pulled away, the creature puffed out his cheeks, roared and submerged again. Read More »

Great Bernera
In 1895 a sea monster described as having a 15' neck is reputed to have been seen off Great Bernera. This is also the year that whaling began in North Harris, leading to the establishment of a whaling station by 1907.
Green Shark of Berwick-upon-Tweed
In the Historical Register of Remarkable Events by John Sykes (1833) a strange visitor to Berwick-upon-Tweed is mentioned. In September 1757 a six foot long green coloured shark was caught by a net in the River Tweed just above the bridge at Berwick. Read More »

Near Guánica , on 23 December 1995, Osvaldo Rosado, a 44-year old mechanic was washing his car when he had a strange experience with a large creature. Isle of Man Mermaid (1961)
According to Peter Costello in The Magic Zoo, there were several sightings of a mermaid around the Isle of Man during 1961. One of the witnesses was said to be the Lady Mayor of Peel. In August 1961 the Manx Tourist Board apparently offered a prize to whoever could capture the mermaid alive.

Loch Urabhal
Loch Uravel or Urabhal in Gaelic is a small body of water roughly 2 miles north of Achmore. On 27 July 1961 two teachers fishing at the loch had a strange experience. Thirty five metres from their boat they reputedly saw a two headed, single humped creature swim by.
Lough Dubh Lake Monster

Morgawr
Morgawr, which is old Cornish for sea monster and has been seen several times this century.

The Renwick Cockatrice
In 1733 a cockatrice terrorized Renwick when the church was being demolished. The beast was slayen by John Tallantire with a rowan branch. The creature was described as resembling a bat. Apparently the cockatrice was again reported as having been seen in 1959. Read More »
