Carleton Castle

This ruined castle is said to be the haunt of Sir John Cathcart, identified as a Scottish Bluebeard.

Said to be a prolific wife murderer, his last intended victim was May Kennedy from Culzean Castle. She realised his murderous plans and pushed him to his death from cliffs.

His screams have been heard echoing through the ruins.
