I also saw this at about 4.30pm in Liverpool. It was so near I could almost touch it! I was in a taxi at the time so I had a witness. I now live in London and I am a pensioner but I will always remember this in detail. It was New Years Eve and I was on my way to get ready for the evenings celebrations. I would like to know if there were any more sightings in the UK on this date. This was most definatley not a meteorite, it was silver coloured an like a cigar shape.
