| Stephen Darbishire (then 14) and his friend were playing near the Old Man of Coniston around 11.00am, when they spotted a strange misty UFO. Stephen managed to take two pictures of the object with a Kodak bellows camera before it disappeared in the sky, resulting in two blurred photographs depicting a classic Adamski saucer. He was put under intense pressure at the time and admitted that it was a hoax. |

| While flying over the Thames Estuary near Southend, at about 4.15pm, Flight Lieutenant James Saladin ,who was piloting a Meteor Mark 8, spotted three objects approaching him. Two of these objects, one gold and one silver, flew to either side of his aircraft, and one directly in his flight path. He submitted a report of the incident to his airbase. |

| Jessie Rosenberg, then 29, and her 2 children, witnessed a lens shaped object flying overhead. They also saw 2 humanoid figures with blond hair staring down at them. They were so scared by the encounter that they hid under a table in their house. It is reported that they had several psychic experiences afterwards. |
| 13th August 1956, RAF Bentwaters |
| The Radar Station at RAF Bentwaters, (RAF and USAF) tracked a UFO flying at 5,000 mph towards the air base at around 10.55pm. A T-33 was diverted to check out the object. About an hour later that night another UFO was tracked, this time there was a ground sighting from a control tower, which was witnessed as a bright light travelling very fast. A C47 pilot also made visual contact and other radar stations tracked an object. The last contact on radar showed the object heading Northward. |
