W. Collet was driving along the A32 in Hampshire early on the morning of 26th October in a transit bus. Suddenly his radio and electrical equipment cut out. He stopped the van, got out, and checked under the bonnet, as he was returning to his vehicle he noticed a dark shape hovering above the road in front of him.
The engine came back to life and he carried on his journey, only to have the same failure further along the road. He stepped out of the vehicle again, felt a pressure change and a pain within his eardrums and smelled burning. He saw the same object that he seen earlier, estimating later that it was about 50 feet high, he watched as it flew off, and then managed to restart his bus. |

Two policemen followed a flying cross for over twelve miles near to the Devon Border.
This was one of several instances of flying crosses in 1967 and preceded the following case by only a few days. |

| 26 October 1967 Moigne Downs, Dorset, England |
| At about 11.25 am, J.B.W. Brooks was walking his two dogs, an Alsatian and a Dalmatian, along the Moigne Downs during a force 8 gale. He took shelter by lying down on his back in a hollow in the ground. Mr Brooks underwent a UFO sighting of an object described as circular with one girder like fuselage pointing forwards, and three of the same girders pointing backwards. These then moved outwards to form a cross shape with a disk in the middle and the whole thing started to rotate. The whole encounter lasted for 22 minutes until the object resumed its original shape and shot away at great speed. This was explained by 'experts' as a floating piece of skin on his eyeball (He had recently had a cornea implant). |

| Carl Farlow was driving along the A338 at around 1.00am in the morning. He was coming up to a bridge over the river Avon, when the electric's in his car cut out. He pulled up to the roadside to check out what the problem was, and spotted an egg shaped object hovering above the road. He noticed a strange smell like burning wood, and heard a humming sound like that of a refrigerator that seemed to originate from the machine. The object then disappeared, there were another two witnesses to the event, a vet and his female passenger. The police were called and the road seemed to have melted under the object. Later it seemed as though the incident was covered up by officialdom. |
