Are believers in the supernatural more likely to have an experience than someone who is more sceptical and which group is better suited to investigate claims of the paranormal if any?

Belief affects

Belief affects misperception, so a believer is more likely to have xenonormal experiences. I would say a scientific approach to investigation is more helpful than either a purely sceptical or belief-orientated one.

I can't argue with that.  I think that statistically both groups have  an equal opportunity have an experience but those who are inclined to believe in the paranormal and spirit are more likely to interpret the experience as being supernatural in nature.

 moreover, believers are

moreover, believers are probably more likely to -report- the experience, whereas skeptics would try and forget about it, so there could be just as many skeptics having experiences which they think might be due to some paranormal event; they're just much less inclined to talk about it.

I think you've hit the nail on the head there Columbine.
