Cuckfield park is haunted by Ann Pritchard Sergison 'Wicked Dame Sergison' who died in 1848 aged 85. She was known for her foul temper objected to her daughters marriage so much so that her ghost is saidt o have appeared at it in 1890. She has apparently been seen on th emain staircase, and the corridors of Cuckfield Park..
I got to thinking about how old the daughter must have been at her 1890 wedding if her mother died in 1848, aged 85. So I looked into this a little deeper and added it all to the main gazetteer. Thanks for contributing this haunting Don:).

Thanks Ian. I suppose it illustrates that just because some information in an account is true, it does not mean all the details are accurate.
Ok, I'll see what other cases I can dig up to start filling the census, which is actually looking rather bare atm.
