The Boar’s Head

The Boar’s Head pub on Queen’s Road in Aberystwyth, is a derelict building at the time of writing, but is probably going to be converted into flats in the future, now the squatters have been evicted.

The building is reputedly haunted by one of its landlords, who hung himself in the attic after the tragic loss of his fiancée on the promenade during a severe winter storm. People who stayed at the pub before its demise have reported hearing heavy footsteps going into the attic, and the jangling of keys. It is said that if you follow the foot steps into the attic you will see the landlord’s ghost.
