The Noahs Ark, Tipton
The Noahs Ark was once run by an ex professional boxer, Tom Cartwright, who stood no nonsense from anyone.
Tom was rudely awoken one night by a figure he took to be an intruder. Naturally he brought his boxing skills to bear and attempted to floor the man standing by his bed. As his fists passed straight through the young man, he vanished into thin air.
This was not to be only sighting of the ghostly young man. His next visitation was to Tom’s wife who recalled some details of what he was wearing. He was a young man in a tweed suit with fair hair and brown eyes. She described the figure as looking perfectly solid. She only realised it was an apparition she was seeing when the figure disappeared in front of her.
This wasn’t the end of the story though as older customers in the pub were able to identify the ghostly figure. He was the teenage son of a previous landlord who had met an untimely and tragic death.
