Cuckfield park is haunted by Ann Pritchard Sergison ‘Wicked Dame Sergison’ who died in 1848 aged 85. She was known for her foul temper objected to her daughters marriage so much so that her ghost is saidt o have appeared at it in 1890. She has apparently been seen on th emain staircase, and the corridors of Cuckfield Park..

James Parnell the Quaker Martyr died in Colchester Castle on 10 April 1656. The conditions of his cell, the cruelty of his jailer Nicholas Roberts and injuries from a fall from a rope all contributed to his death. His ghost is said to haunt his old cell. Apart from the Highgate Vampire, or indeed maybe connected, there is supposed to be the ghost of a "Mad" Grey Woman in the newest part of the cemetery. She is said to wander around the grave stones looking for her children.

This hotel near Carlisle, is reputed to be haunted by a ghost known as ‘Lady Jane’. Glasses have been reported to have slid off the bar to the floor and smashed. The sound of laughter from empty rooms has also been heard.

Sutton Arms at 6 Carthusian Street, Clerkenwell, London, EC1M 6EB is said to be haunted by an apparition of an old man in dated clothing with red hair and a big grin that vanishes a few seconds after being noticed. Known as Charlie he has been seen in differant parts of the pub but does seem to have a favourite table.
