Bloody Corner is thought to be the spot at which either King Alfred the Great or the Earl of Devon slayed Hubba the Dane. A plaque is now situated at this spot.

I came across a reference on the Paranormal Database saying the school was haunted by a nurse who was murdered there.

This murder took place in 1773 and the following appeared about it in the Bath Journal on 11 March 1773.

Does anyone have any stories about Clophill? There’s a lot written about the incidents of Devil Worship at the church, which began in 1963. This seems to have led to a rise to a whole host of ghostly sightings there right up to present day.

I’m currently producing a documentary on Clophill, so would be interested in hearing any stories.

I’ve enjoyed Tom Slemen’s Haunted Liverpool books which feature all manner of paranormal tales from an early age. I’ve lost count how many have been published to date….15 perhaps? However, as the series has progressed I’ve increasingly found the stories to become far fetched and less believable. Has anyone with knowledge of these books found this? Still, on the whole a great read.

I am new to this forum and therefore I will set out my reason for joining this forum.

I often visit Grafham Waters in Huntingdonshire and it is whilst walling around the village of Perry, I always detect an uneasy feeling whilst walking past a smaller car park just outside of Perry – I think its the ‘Mander’ car park.
