Are believers in the supernatural more likely to have an experience than someone who is more sceptical and which group is better suited to investigate claims of the paranormal if any?

I thought it would be nice to have a topic where we can share tips, notes on pieces of interesting kit, natural explanations you have discovered for reported experiences, bits of advise, suggested books and theories to read etc.

Anything that may be useful for an investigator in the field….or in his armchair 🙂

I think the title says it all . Can animals detect ghosts and why do you think this is?

In the early to mid parts of the 20th century spiritualists would try to convince people that the cheesecloth they were pulling from their mouths etc was really ectoplasm and con their audiences into believing they were watching a spirit manifest before them.

Mysterious Britain has been asked to try and find some information regarding a village in Hertfordshire called Cold Christmas. Does anybody know of any tales, legends, hauntings etc, either in or surrounding this village?

The idea of apports have always interested me though I have probably never come across one. They are rare physical objects that……well I suppose materialise during haunting and poltergeist activity. Has anyone any experience with apports or know of any good cases that involve them?

Whilst on a case in an old house in Scotland near a ruined abbey, I experienced a memorable accustic event. It occured in a long stone barrel vaulted room at the bottom of the house, probably just below ground level. Whilst we we were covering this area my fellow investiagtors and I heard the unmistakable chanting and singing of monks.
