I must admit I have never seen him work and probably would not recognise him.

I have not only met him, I’ve spent many days on courses with him.  He is, in my opinion the genuine artical.  I’ve watched him doing trance work, where ok, it would in theory be possible to apply a different expression to your face, and maybe different mannerisms, but the whole tone of his voice changed (pitch tone) and that I am told is impossible to do by medical people?

The evidence he comes up with is good, and he comes across as honest, and doesn’t claim to be anything other than someone who was born with a gift that doesn’t always go the way he plans.  He’s told me stories of when things didn’t go well, as much as when they did.

About travelling hundreds of miles for a show, and nothing coming through…??? must be every bodies nightmare scenario.

No, I do honestly believe that he is genuine.

Like I said I have never seen Colin Fry, but what I want to hear from mediums is the how they receive the information and to hear a description of that.  I have no interest in receiving messages fro the dead.   I know people who have had clairvoyant ‘like’ experiences who don’t believe that the experiences have anything to do with life after death or getting messages.  After over 100 years of receiving these ‘messages’ from mediums their abilities have still not been proven.

How do they know this ‘information’ is coming from beyond the veil?  Why do people believe that just because a medium gives them a seemingly accurate message about a dead relative then the information must have come from beyond the grave and therefore survival of death is possible.  Why are they convinced that there is a supernatural answer, more importantly one one that cannot be proven either way.

If you’ve spent time with Colin, Sian, did you get a good insight into how his ability works?

Yes I understand how mediumship works, but the point is it isn’t at this moment in time provable.

By the term an accurate message, I would not include things like… I have a mother figure here, or a Grandmother figure, who used to wear an apron all the time and would sing whilst hovering… we’ve all heard them on the TV, that is nonsense, and anyone could pick that up and work with it.

When I talk about accurate messages, I’m talking about things that no one else could know, and certainly the medium hasn’t got access to the information, and it can’t be disclosed by body language.

Something along the lines of, you keep grandma’s old nursing watch in the drawer by your bed, or you went shopping this week and tried on a red dress…. you get the picture I’m sure.

Once you have been given just one message with correct information that couldn’t have been gained by guess work, body language or gossip then you realise that it has to be coming from somewhere, and the only other person who could know, is whoever the medium is talking to.

Whether you believe in life after death is really irrelivent I think in the first instance.  Firstly you have to experience knowing that information that is personal has been divulged to you, once you accept that, then where it comes from isn’t really the issue.  Your mind will have been opened enough for you to realise that there are things that are still unexplainable, and maybe always will be so.

I took my daughter to a Colin Fry evening in Crawley a few years ago. The place was packed . I do not judge people but I was not that much impressed as the information supposedly received did not amount to much and there were more then a few errors in the information. And why is it that the other side tell of Uncle Joe,Auntie Bess etc. etc. but never mention the sad state of the World today and what us people could be doing to make things better.

Ok, I may be able to help with this point.

Mediums, especially those that have worked on the church scene, generally ask for ‘proof’ of existance of the spirit.  They therefore work on messages that are personal, and from known relatives/friends, of someone that can give information to an individual which is verfifiable.  They do not seek to pass on information that is general, or that foretells the future.  That is why you only get information from Anutie Bess and Uncle Joe etc.

I also have come to realise that most mediums cannot turn it on and off at will, with guarenteed accuracy.  But in my experience provide one or two exceptional readings per sitting with the rest being something less than general.  Whether this is down to misunderstanding of the messages, or down to a feeling of ‘having to connect with someone’ due to the fact that paying audiances are expecting such, I don’t know.  But I do know that when a good message is received, there is no denying that the information could not have been obtained from any other source than the claimed one.  I certainly do not go along with the Darren Brown theory that it’s all in body language.  I’ve seen readings that I can quite happily say the information that was given was so specific and correct that only I or my husband could have known it.

Maybe we expect perfect accuracy 100% of the time, in an inaccurate and unexplained, confusing form of communication.?
I was wondering what anyones thoughts were about Colin Fry.
I think colin is a good soul, and genuine , and likes to bring messages of hope to those in need, he is the type of  medium that people need to help them, when communicating with loved ones.

he is not ego centric, and shows a great deal of compassion to others,

i myself have done mediumship and i was incensitive to people in the past and was not ready to take on the responsibility of giving messages to others

a good medium is someone , who is patient , shows compasion and , is humble , and does not think they they are the creators of there spiritual gifts , all gifts are given by god .

but yes colin is a good medium, but i also say follow your intuition when looking for a good medium , the kinder the person the better the medium

Try to understand that colin is only a channel , and he can only give what he is given he doesnot make up what he does ,

mediumships is something for you to learn from not dictate to , youve seen colin and now your trying to change him and mediumship to suit your beliefs,#

the world is in the state it is for a reason , the darker aspects of life are needed for us to learn from, to bring growth to our spirit ,, we have many lives in which we need to learn such a great deal becuase humanity fell from grace a very long time ago,

i had a hard life , i was weal as a boy but now im a strong man becuase of the hardship i went through many hards lessons to learn in this life but all worth it , i would choose it again to be the man i am now , my soul has grown and my expereinces only made me stronger ,

it does not matter if people are starvin in other parts of the world ,your job is to love your life and worry only for yourself , the people who are dying around the world are doing so for the growth of there soul,

always trust your intuition when dealing in this world , what feels right is right ,what feels wrong is wrong

I don’t really buy into the idea of mediums, but then, this is probably due to most of them in my experiance being frauds.  I’ll say that I have met people that seemed to have a tendency to excite a haunting, but never a genuine case where a spirit communicated through someone.

Turned the place upside down, stage recreations of past events, even on a single occasion inflict serious phyisical harm, but never speak through someone’s mouth or possess someone.

CYOA given a vaneer of spiritualism.  I think that Budda, Christ, and about every other supposedly spiritually enlightened person would be shocked and offended.

The idea that those who suffer do so to repay karmic debt is not ment to be an excuse not to try and reduce that suffering.

I dont believe for one second that people in third world are suffering and starving for their soul growth.  Sorry but in my opinion that is ridiculous, people are starving in third world countries for many reasons including the most obvious reason most third world countries are rife with over-crowding, poverty, lack of medicine and lack of fully equiped medical facilities, disease, lack of food and clean water and lack of jobs.  This is why people in these countries are suffering.

There are many things that we learn in our lives that brings growth to our souls but I don’t believe that suffering is one of these things.  I have 25 almost 26 years of paranormal aand psychic phenomonena experience, I have researched and read many books on different area’s of the Paranormal and Karma, Soul Groups, the growing and learning of the human soul, books like Micheal Newtons books – Journey of Souls and Destiny of Soul among other avenues I have researched on similar area’s with the paranormal and psychic phenomena, and I have come across only a handful of people who believe suffering is the way to enlightment.  Many others believe that the ways in which we enlighten our souls is through are actions and choices in life and not by human suffering.

As for Colin Fry, I don’t know enough about his abilities or him to make any real decision on whether he is real or fake.
