In the 1970’s a small old lady was seen inside The Crown & Horseshoes pub, in Horseshoe lane, by a man looking in through the window. The pub was locked up at the time and the man was waiting for the landlord to return and open up the pub. When the landlord arrived, the two of them searched the entire building but found nobody.
