Ballygally Castle is 20 miles from Belfast on the Antrim coast in Northern Ireland. It is a beautiful hotel and is said to have its own friendly ghost!

Clonony Castle is in County Offaly, near the Shannon River. A ghostly figure of a man reportedly patrols one of its towers.

Charleville Castle in Tullamore, County Offaly is haunted by the ghost of its former owner, by druids buried on the grounds, and by a girl who fell from a high staircase to her death.

In his books The A-Z of British Ghosts and Gazetteer of Scottish & Irish Ghosts, Peter Underwood briefly mentions a legend about a female vampire buried in a small graveyard by a ruined church near Strongbow’s Tree or Tower.

The following question was raised on our Face Book group. Any ideas anyone?
Does anyone have information on the cryptid that supposedly caused grief many years ago in Belmullet, County Mayo, Ireland? I read about it not too long ago..and can’t find the article! It was some kind of amphibian-like animal that came ashore and was very difficult for the locals to kill.

I am a big fan of American shows Ghost Hunters and Paranormal States. The teams use a lot of high tech equipment to find EVPs and cold spots and places that put out high EMFs. But I also watch Most Haunted because of the places they go to. England is so rich in history and the stories are awesome.
