There seems to quite a few haunted tales concerning spirits or ghosts attached to certain items. There is the famous Spedlins Bible which became forever interlinked with the ghost when used to exorcise it. Other tales concern bodily parts such as skulls. Do you know any such accounts and whether there is any factual basis for them? Below is the tale of Calgarth Hall:

Most natural things on Earth have been assigned into categories such as mineral, animal, vegetable and sub categorized further such as mamal, fish, amphibian and again and so on. Hence everything has a place in the order of things.

Knowing the area well and with an interest in the Rebellion of the 45, there are a number of tales connected to the battle and the nearby Culloden House Hotel. The best I’ve heard recently was regarding the B9006 near Kilravock Castle. This was the route taken by the Jacobite on the abortive night march to surprise the Hanovarian army who were camped at Nairn.

You’ve all heard the story before. A driver going along a lonely road picks up a hitchhiker. Then the hitchhiker vanishes from the car. It is a classic account and one that many stories are based upon, but are there any real phantom hitchhikers? I ask this for two reasons. Firstly, I have never heard a first hand witness account.

Yesterday evening I remarked to my girlfriend that a pack of mince pies were sitting on the counter top in the kitchen when before they’d been stored away. I definitely hadn’t moved them, and she said she’d been in there just moments before and had actually moved them from the cupboard to the top of the microwave, not the countertop.

Today the site of a fashionable (and expensive) restaurant in the hills overlooking Dublin, it was the site of a celebrated haunting back in the ’60s.

Elementals seem to be the "in" thing with many paranormal groups – a location simply isn’t deemed spooky enough unless it has one! Shadow people seem to have been eschewed in favour of this vaguely applied term, no doubt furthered by unscrupulous and plain misguided mediums.

Does anybody know of any ghost that has interacted with the witness?  Spoke to them?  Given hand gestures?  You often find ghosts in fiction interacting with people but does it happen in reality?

I’m curious to know if anyone has had any personal ghostie experiences or iunexplained events.
