Also known as Bergtruckung in Continental Europe, this is probably the most famous sleeping hero myth: a long-lost hero, be him a powerful king, a valiant warrior or a charismatic leader, who is not believed to be dead and buried but merely asleep and awaiting the right time to return among his people to save them from certain destruction or to lead them to greatness.

Here is an experience from one of our readers at Castle Fraser in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire. The events had quite an effect on her and have been on her mind ever since:
"I visited Castle Fraser about 6 or 7 years ago. We were there to help my boyfriends mum who had a stall (she made and sold long capes) at the ‘Gathering of the Frasers’.
…or the RAF Lakenheath incident of 1956.
This is again a very good and well documented UFO case involving both visual and radar contacts. It was one of the case analyzed by the infamous Project Bluee Book (US military radars were involved hence their interest) and even they had to throw in the towel and call it "unknown".
So, do vampires really exist ?
I dont mean those who live the lifestyle or the Vampyre sub-cultre, I mean true vampires.
I am researching at the moment and would like to write a book, but i want to do as much research as i can before that.
ive already found some fascinating stuff, and really want more.
As promised here’s something I put together about the alleged Rendlesham Forest UFO crash. I must confess I am far from happy with it so any help improving it before coming up with a definitive version would be more than welcome. The main problems are the aura of high strangeness surrounding the case and vast amount of disinformation, whatever the source, circulating on the matter.
GHOULISH GOINGS-ON AT CROXTETH HALL – from the Liverpool Echo Down the ship canal(http://www.penninewaterways.co.uk/manchester/shipcanal.htm ),ghostbusters have been left spooked by CCTV footage appearing to show anapparition making its way through the grounds of a Merseyside statelyhome.
Daniel’s post about the Red Caps as figures somehwat linked to foundation rituals made me remember a couple of other myths regarding the topic.
The first one is related to the founding of the famous monastery on the island of Iona, in the Hebrides.
