Blenheim Palace
The house is said to be haunted by the ghost of a Roundhead, a soldier fighting on the side of Cromwell during the English Civil war. He appears sitting near to the fire in one of the bedrooms.

Icknield Way
This ancient trackway, believed to date to the Neolithic period, is said to be haunted by Roman legionaries and Black dogs.
At one time, before modern transport allowed freedom of movement, it was believed to lead directly to hell.
Ye Olde Trip To Jerusalem, Nottingham
This is one of Britain’s most ancient drinking establishments dating back to 1189AD when King Richard I (The Lionheart) was crowned. The name of the pub (known as ‘The Pilgrim’ before 1799) relates to this era and the third crusade which King Richard supported in 1190AD. It is thought that this pub may have been used by knights from Nottingham Castle before departing to the Holy Land.
Naseby
A Civil War battlefield haunted by the ghostly replay of the slaughter that occurred there. The battle took place on 14 June 1645 and the Parliamentarian Roundheads defeated the Royalists of King Charles I.
The Brown Lady of Raynham Hall
The Brown Lady of Raynham Hall is one of the most famous hauntings in Britain, this is mainly down to the strange form captured by photographers from Country Life magazine in 1936. Before that event the Brown Lady had been reported several times, but many of the written accounts vary considerably.

In December 1936, the Blackpool Evening Gazette carried an article which began excitedly; ‘Carleton Ghost? A Layton taxi-driver claims he has seen a ghost with a green face, near the gates of Carleton Crematorium..’
Dover Castle
A headless drummer boy who was murdered during the Napoleanic wars is said to haunt the castle as are a monk and a Roman soldier. The castle was also the scene of an ASSAP vigil in which a door in the castle was filmed shaking violently.
Richborough
Spectral Roman armies where seen marching into the sea during the World War II Watches. The area around Richborough was a Roman port during the occupation and the Roman Fort was very important strategically. Though the fort originally overlooked a port, it is now two miles from the sea.
Blue Bell Hill
There are many reports here of a phantom hitchhiker on the A229 south of Chatham. The reports began in 1968, and usually involved a young girl (possibly a bride to be or a bridesmaid who was killed at the foot of the hill in 1965), flagging down cars and asking for a lift.
Hall Place
Hall Place, Bexley Village, is a Grade I listed building and records show that a manor has existed within its grounds since 1241. It is supposedly haunted by three ghosts.
