Although apparitions have been reported in normal lighting conditions there is a false notion that ghosts can only be seen, or can be seen better in total darkness.  When did this idea first arise?  Was it with Victorian ghost stories, as many of those take place in dark conditions?

My parents and I were visiting my aunt who lives near some fishing lakes in Somerset, my dad decided to go fishing.

Hi guys, through my spiritual paractices, i have come to learn a great deal through meditation and conversing with my spirit guides.

i was very scared of ghosts, when i first started to see them, after opening my third eye,
and i was scared by a few of them , some haunted me , which was karma for haunting them in past lives.

While discussing the appearances and reported hauntings of ghosts in today’s society, it was pointed out that these sightings always consist of people in period clothes, ie, from the 16th, 17th, 18th C etc.  It was queried as to why this was so, why there seem to be no reports of ghosts wearing tracksuits or jeans.  This question interested me, asa I had not given it much thought before.
