Does anybody know of any hauntings (indoor or outdoor) in or around Oldham? I’d love to spend the night somewhere either joining an investigation or just going by myself. I’m interested in all sorts of mysterious stuff, old roman roads, haunted battlefields, ghost sighting locations, local myths etc.
Quite an interesting prospect. Aparrently in north east Scotland between the 18th and early 20th Century there existed a strange sect with a paranormal link. By the sounds of it, the Horseman’s Word appeared to have a practical "trade union"-esque quality for ploughmen, blacksmiths, horse trainers etc.
I had a somewhat strange experience some years ago when I was about 18 years old. I had a friend whose dad was dying of Parkingsons, he wasn’t a well man and my friend and her mum were meant to be his carers, but I don’t think they were caring for him as they should and on reflection they weren’t treating him that well.
I recently heard of a local group (that seemed to implode) that, amongst its members had someone claiming to be a Level 9 Magician. I assume he he was talking about himself, not his favourite Dungeons and Gragons character. Assuming we are taking reality and not delusion here, it makes me wonder who put this level system in, who grades it and at what level can you throw fire balls.
I don’t know why but ghosts seem to play a large put in mine and my parents lives.
When I was a little girl (about 7) I lived with my parents and two older brothers in an ordinary terraced victorian house.
I have heard of Ley Lines before and have noticed that they are mentioned in several aticles on the site, but what are they? From my limmited knowledge, I know they are supposed to be lines of energy within the ground. Can anyone add to this and perhaps shed some light on what people/religions/occult societies believe about them?
